Lionel Bastos is a multiple SAMA award nominee and SAMA award winner.
He has written songs for and/or produced albums for some of the top names in South Africa including Yvonne Chaka-Chaka, Wendy Oldfield, PJ Powers, Little Sister, Vicky Sampson, Auriol Hays, Tshepo Tsola, Andre Schwartz, Coleske, Ed Jordan & James Stewart to name a few.
He wrote and produced the longest running DSTV ad song, "More".
In 2014 he composed the film score for a local film called "Konfetti" which won awards internationally and locally.
He has performed on every continent and was the opening act for The Bee Gees' only performance in Africa at Loftus Versveld Stadium in Pretoria and was in the opening act for Wet,Wet,Wet.
He had released 5 albums:

"Simple"
"Rising above the madness"
"Four"
"hmmm..."
He is about to release his sixth album late 2015 or early 2016.
